The MK Challenge this week is "What Autumn Means to Me." What a wonderful time of year. Harvest is in the air, the mornings are crisp, the leaves are changing. We are indoors more, and outdoors less. Jerry and I did manage to find time last weekend to visit the Mt. Nebo scenic route from Nephi to Payson. Some of the leaves were changing, but not all. I found it just beautiful. Maybe you will, too.

On The Wings of Love... Legacy
The MK challenge - create. Thinking, thinking, remembering, smiling. When we create something with love, we leave a legacy of ourselves. I miss my grandma. She died when I was twelve years old. During the last few years of her life, she created two beautiful quilts. One for me, one for my sister. Beautiful butterflies adorn my quilt. I have displayed it with the trends. Hanging it on my wall, draping it across the sofa, folded neatly at the end of my bed. Everytime I look at this creation, I see my grandma. She taught me to sew, to cook, and to make wonderful crafty roses. She taught me to create. She smiled, and laughed.
I miss my grandma, but I am grateful for her legacy.

Waking Up in Vegas...
We took a much needed vacay to Las Vegas for few days. Also, to celebrate Jerry's birthday. We love staying at the Southpoint Resort and Casino. It is so clean, and a nice place to stay. We relaxed, ate yummy food, shopped, went to the movies, daily visited the pool and hot tub, and Jerrry gambled a little. So relaxing to get away for a nice, restful week! Even found a few new things to do this time. The Shark Aquarium at Mandolay Bay, we ate at Primarily Prime Rib, Don Vito's, and a brand new place called Off the Strip - Just Real Food. We also tried a place we saw on Drive-In's, Diners, and Dives - definately a dive, but the food was good. We also went to usual spots - Metro Pizza and Cheesecake Factory. What a blast to hang with my best friend!

Seriously... The Best Pizza in the World!
The best pizza in the world is found in Las Vegas. Seriously! Not Chicago, not New York. It is in Las Vegas. Metro Pizza has the best pizza. Perfect hand-tossed crust, perfect homemade sauce. Our friend, Mark first told us about this incredible pizza. Now we are hooked. Their menu has many selections, but we have found that the simple pepperoni and mushroom to be a favorite. The mushrooms are roasted, and oh, so yummy. The Sunspot specialty pizza is different and yummy. We seriously plan vacations to Las Vegas, just to get this pizza. It is worth the trip. They offer pizza-making classes, I am going to have to sign up. YUM-O.
Check out their menu at metropizza.com/menu.
You've got to try this!!

Learning Bokeh...
So, I am learning. It's fun. I love my new camera. I am learning. I hear terms, and I don't know what they mean. Bokeh, Aperature, Noise, F-stop. I have to google them. One of my most fun lessons took place at the St. George Temple with my daughter, Kourtney. She is so patient, as she had me shoot over and over. The lesson - bokeh. An ah-ha moment, I think I get it?!??

There's no place like home...
I decided to participate in a photo challenge from the blog "Life Through The Lens". The challenge is "Type". I instantly became aware of all the written words around me. Those I read, those I see driving down the highway, words everywhere. Looking for the perfect group of words. Then I came upon a familiar assemblage of words that I see everyday. No matter where you go, whether it is traveling near or far, going to work and back, walking around the block, there is no place like home. The comfort you feel as you approach your home town. The peace you feel as you open the door to your house. The love you feel from your family. The familiarity you feel as you climb in your own bed. We go through life looking for adventure, seeking excitement, yet we find the most happiness and joy right in our own home.
